ZTE 890L / 891L detect and unlock guide
Note: before proceeding with steps below, set adapter bindings by following instructions here. Also insert operators sim card that does not work with device. For example if it's locked to operator "A" insert operator's "B" sim. Connect device to PC using USB cable
New wireless connection should appear on computer, select it and click " Connect" button
Open browser window and access web gui of your device by typing 192.168.1.1 in address field and hit enter on keyboard (NOTE: address might be different, check device manual for correct one)
Enter password to access web gui and click "Log in" button, if you did not set password yourself, then check device manual for default one
After accessing web gui, go to "USB Ports Configuration" and click "Enable" button
NOTE: if your device's web ui looks differently or has more options on it and you can not find the right place, go directly to this address - 192.168.1.1/company_use.asp
192.168.1.1 might be different, depends on configurations that device is set
Wait for the device's ports to be installed on computer, monitor process by checking Device manager window
Launch DC-unlocker software
Select manufacturer: ZTE modems, model leave Auto detect (recommended). Press "Detect" button (Big magnifying glass)
Wait till DC-Unlocker fully detects device (this specific model might take longer to be detected than usual)
If you get "modem not found" error message, run DC-Unlocker as Administrator and perform detection again. Make sure drivers of the device are installed as well
Right click on DC-Unlocker icon and select "Run as.." or "Run as administrator" from options menu to launch software with administrator rights
Open Server tab, enter your username and password that you received after credits purchase. Click "Check login". (you can buy credits here www.dc-unlocker.com/buy).
If DC-Unlocker/Vygis/Rocker/Infinity dongle is connected, do not enter username and password, only click "Check login"
Open Unlocking tab, click “Unlock”
Wait till you see a message that modem is unlocked
After you see that modem successfully unlocked, restart it. Now you can use it with any SIM card
